Program Manager
Chibuikem is the Program Manager at the Nigeria Offgrid Market Acceleration Program with over 12 years’ experience and expertise in Sub-Saharan Africa’s climate and energy market with specialty in low carbon electrification, energy nexus, climate transition, and circular economy. His expertise covers policy and regulatory reform, political economy, market development, climate finance, rural economies, stakeholder management, business analysis, and technical assistance.
Chibuikem has led and worked on several donor, DFI and private sector funded climate projects across sub-Saharan Africa with development partners such as UK FCDO, USAID Power Africa, Shell Foundation, EU, UNDP, GEF, UNEP, the Heinrich Boell Stiftung, amongst many others.
Akinyemi Alebiosu
Climate Finance Manager
Akinyemi the Climate Finance Manager at the Nigeria Offgrid Market Acceleration Program specializing in sustainable finance, principal investment, and strategy. Prior to joining NoMAP, he served as a Social Finance Fellow with the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) Social Finance Program. During his tenure, he collaborated with the County Government of Kisumu, Kenya, and PharmAccess to revamp the County’s health financing system, thereby enhancing access to health insurance within the County.
Before his stint with the ILO, Akinyemi worked with Leadway in Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire as the Regional Strategy Coordinator overseeing the coordination and performance of the company’s subsidiaries, associates, projects, and portfolio companies across West Africa. He boasts significant experience in the banking sector as well. Akinyemi is a Chartered Accountant and a registered Portfolio Manager with The Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigeria. Outside of his professional endeavors, Akinyemi indulges in his passion for travel and photography.
Jennifer Anya
Program Associate
Jennifer Anya is the Program Associate at the Nigeria Offgrid Market Acceleration Program with over 5 years experience in the value chain delivery of clean energy projects across Solar Home Systems, C&I and Mini-Grids. Leveraging her experience operating energy systems, she works with the team to design innovative business models to accelerate energy access in offgrid communities in Nigeria.
